Georgia dominates Ole Miss, moves closer to SEC championship game and College Football Playoff berth

Georgia beat Ole Miss 42-7 in Oxford, turning a highly anticipated contest between two of the SEC’s top teams into a one-sided win. The result strengthens Georgia’s position in the race for the SEC championship game and a College Football Playoff place.

Georgia led 28-0 at half-time and 35-0 in the third quarter, with quarterback Gunner Stockton throwing four touchdown passes. Ole Miss scored its only points on Shekai Mills-Knight’s eight-yard run; the defeat was the Rebels’ largest home loss since 2018. Georgia next hosts Missouri, while Ole Miss travels to Oklahoma.
