I want to face Baumgardner, it will be boxing’s next great rivalry – Dubois

Caroline Dubois says a fight with Alycia Baumgardner could become women’s boxing’s next major rivalry and help produce its next leading star. The British unified lightweight champion wants to face Baumgardner in 2027, but says Baumgardner must first beat Elif Nur Turhan.

Dubois says she hopes to headline a bout at London’s O2 Arena, with all four world titles at stake, and believes it could surpass the 2022 Shields-Marshall event there. She is also pursuing WBA champion Stephanie Han as part of her goal to become undisputed; if Turhan wins on Sunday, Dubois says she would pursue Turhan instead.
