Willie Nelson disagrees with Donald Trump on “practically everything”
Willie Nelson said he disagrees with Donald Trump on “practically everything” the president has tried to do, renewing his criticism of Trump’s policies. The 93-year-old musician also described a long-standing personal acquaintance with Trump, showing that their political differences coexist with a shared interest in music.
Nelson recalled working for two weeks at Trump’s Atlantic City resort and said Trump thanked him afterwards. He previously criticised the family separation policy at the US-Mexico border, campaigned for Democrat Beto O’Rourke in 2018 and released the song ‘Vote ‘Em Out’. The interview also touched on Nelson’s thoughts about mortality and his memoir, due to be released on 10 November.
