Zelda OOT Remake: Get the Silver and Golden Scales to dive deeper

The guide explains how to obtain the Silver and Golden Scales in the *Ocarina of Time* remake, which let Link dive deeper in Hyrule’s waters. The Silver Scale is needed for child Link’s story progression, while the optional Golden Scale can help players reach a Piece of Heart.

Without a scale, Link can dive to three metres; the Silver Scale raises this to six metres and the Golden Scale to nine. Players win the Silver Scale in the diving game above Zora’s Domain waterfall, then can pursue the missing Princess Ruto. As adult Link, they can earn the Golden Scale by catching a fish at least 70 centimetres long at the Fishing Pond without using the Sinking Lure, then dive in the Lake Hylia Laboratory tank.
