Ichorous is the bloody platformer I’ve been waiting for ever since I finished Blasphemous 2
Ichorous is an early-stage action platformer whose demo offers the bloody combat and grotesque enemies that appeal to fans of Blasphemous 2. Players explore an unfamiliar map as the Warlock, killing monsters and collecting ichor in service of a blood god.
The demo includes two levels, each with distinct enemies, mini-bosses and a final boss. Ichor can buy upgrades called offerings, but each also adds a random curse that can alter enemies or the map; trinkets provide smaller boosts. Runs restart after death, though defeated mini-bosses stay gone, and the reviewer found the fights challenging but fair and praised the soundtrack and upgrade system.
In short
- Ichorous is a gory action platformer with two demo levels.
- Offerings grant upgrades but also impose random curses.
- Defeated mini-bosses stay gone after a failed run.
