Mystery deepens in Blue Angels scandal as officer mentored by disgraced pilot is also scrubbed

The Navy has removed Marine Capt Danielle Cribb’s biography from the Blue Angels website, deepening questions about the recent dismissal of Marine Maj Scott Laux from the team. The Navy said Laux was removed for failing to uphold expected standards, but has not explained the decision or said why Cribb’s profile was taken down.

Laux and Cribb were pictured together at an April baseball game, where Laux presented Cribb with a promotion award and was described as her mentor. Laux joined the Blue Angels in 2024 and was absent from a recent homecoming show, where the team flew five planes instead of its usual six. Cribb joined in 2025; the Navy had not responded to requests for comment on either officer.
