Google Health Premium users can disable Gemini Coach while retaining other features
Google Health Premium subscribers can turn off or mute the Gemini-powered AI Coach through the app’s privacy or coaching settings, while keeping their other Premium features. The option, added in an August 2026 update, lets users take a break from personalised guidance without cancelling their subscription.
Turning off the Coach removes its recommendations, summaries, chat and meal-logging function, though meals can still be logged manually. Existing data stays in place, and the Coach can be restored through the Ask Coach button; users can also disable coaching notifications or switch Today messages to “No Coach insights”.
In short
- Premium users can switch off AI Coach in Google Health settings.
- Other Premium features and past data remain available.
- Coaching can be restored, or notifications muted separately.
