Who’s at the Sun Valley Moguls Retreat This Year
Sun Valley 2026 brought together media and technology titans at investment banker Herb Allen's annual July retreat in Idaho, traditionally one of the industry's most exclusive gatherings for dealmakers and executives. The four-day conference, held July 7-11, has evolved from a private mogul retreat into a high-profile event where media scrutiny tracks which industry leaders attend and what their presence signals about power dynamics in the sector.
Major attendees included YouTube CEO Neal Mohan, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos, and Disney's newly-installed CEO Josh D'Amaro, alongside his predecessor Bob Iger. Comcast CEO Brian Roberts used the occasion to announce the spinoff of NBCUniversal into an independent public company under Mike Cavanagh's leadership. Warner Bros. Discovery chief David Zaslav attended following his company's $111 billion sale to Paramount, whilst People Inc mogul Barry Diller arrived fresh from announcing an $18 billion bid to acquire MGM Resorts.
