A small aircraft has crashed in the Bahamas, resulting in ten fatalities. The flight departed from Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau and was en route to San Andros when the plane experienced technical difficulties, forcing the aircraft down.

The tragedy occurred on the country's independence day, prompting the nation's prime minister to issue a statement characterising the incident as a significant loss. The flight was a short regional service, expected to take approximately twenty minutes, before the emergency that led to the crash.
