South Korea's Haeran Ryu produced the lowest single round in LPGA major championship history on Saturday, carding an 11-under-par 60 during the third round of the Evian Championship in France. The performance handed the 25-year-old a three-stroke lead heading into the final round, underlining her rich vein of form and cementing her place among the sport's standout performers this season.

The remarkable round came just two weeks after Ryu claimed her maiden major title at the Women's PGA Championship. She narrowly missed an even lower score at the last, leaving a 30-foot eagle putt a few inches short on the 18th hole and settling for a birdie. The round was played at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Evian-les-Bains.
