Fmr Arizona Dem candidate accused of storming into ex’s home with knife, tape, blames ‘misunderstanding’
Brianna Westbrook, a former Arizona Democratic congressional candidate, has been arrested and charged with burglary after allegedly forcing her way into an ex-partner's home while armed with a knife and carrying tape. Westbrook reportedly told police the incident was a "misunderstanding" linked to a BDSM scenario, a claim the alleged victim disputes, saying she never agreed to any such arrangement.
Phoenix police were called to the property on 10 July at around 6pm after a woman reported the alleged break-in. Westbrook previously ran as a Democratic candidate for Congress in Arizona; court documents cited in the case detail the burglary charge and the competing accounts given by Westbrook and the alleged victim.
