The 15th Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards will take place in Los Angeles on 13 November, recognising the film crew members whose work helps bring films to life. Actor and comedian Asif Ali will host, with presenters including Matt Damon, Tracee Ellis Ross, John Malkovich, Jaafar Jackson and Alexander Skarsgård. Hamilton and Variety said the ceremony continues their partnership; past honourees have included cinematographers, composers, costume designers and editors such as Matthew Libatique, Nicholas Britell and Colleen Atwood.

Explained simply
Films are made by large teams whose work often happens out of sight of the audience. Cinematographers shape how a film looks, editors assemble its scenes, composers create its music and costume designers help establish its characters and setting.
The awards are organised by watchmaker Hamilton and entertainment publication Variety. They recognise people in these and other filmmaking roles, drawing attention to the many crafts involved in making a film.
