7 Netflix Mystery Shows That Hook You in the First Scene

Netflix mystery series Bodies and Dark are among seven shows highlighted for openings that create immediate suspense. The article argues that striking first scenes can draw viewers into complex mysteries from the outset.

Bodies begins with a detective finding a seemingly dead man in a London alley who suddenly gasps and runs, setting up a mystery linked to investigations across four eras. Dark opens with a suicide and a letter marked with precise instructions, while introducing its themes of time and fate; the article says a child’s disappearance leads four families into a time-travel conspiracy across 1953, 1986 and 2019.
