Dee Snider, the 71-year-old former Twisted Sister frontman, has broken his right shoulder after being knocked over while playing basketball with his sons. He said he will need a shoulder replacement operation after a period in a sling and physiotherapy, but maintained a positive, humorous outlook on the accident.

Snider said the fall left him landing heavily on his right side, which is particularly inconvenient because he is right-handed. He expects to wear a sling for about eight weeks before beginning physiotherapy, followed by surgery; despite the injury and recovery ahead, he told fans he was doing well overall.
