Fandango Orders ‘Bad Girls Club: Unfinished Business’ as the Versant-Owned Streamer Gets Into Original Programming

Variety ·

Fandango has ordered its first original programme, a two-episode reunion special reviving the unscripted series “Bad Girls Club”. The move marks a step into original programming for the Versant-owned, free ad-supported streaming service, which says the franchise has performed strongly with its viewers.

Hosted by former cast member Tanisha Thomas, the special will reunite six stars from Season 7, which Fandango says is the most-watched season of the series on its service. They will appear in groups of three across the episodes, revisiting memories, confrontations and old tensions. “Bad Girls Club” ran for 17 seasons on Oxygen from 2006 to 2017; Bunim/Murray Productions, which made the original, will produce the reunion.

Bad Girls Club was a reality television series that followed women living together and navigating conflicts. It ran for 17 seasons on the US channel Oxygen between 2006 and 2017, and was made by Bunim/Murray Productions.

Fandango is a free streaming service supported by adverts and owned by Versant. Its move into original programmes means it is commissioning content for its own service, alongside programmes it already offers; it says Bad Girls Club has attracted strong viewing.

Tanisha Thomas, a former cast member, hosts the reunion, which brings back six participants from the show’s seventh season. The format gives the former cast members a chance to revisit their time on the series.
