Laika Studios has released the full trailer for Wildwood, director Travis Knight's forthcoming stop-motion fantasy film, set to a cover of Avicii's "Wake Me Up." The film adapts the 2011 novel by Colin Meloy of The Decemberists and his wife, illustrator Carson Ellis, transforming Portland's Forest Park into a hidden magical realm reachable only by residents of "The Wood" and select outsiders.

The story follows 12-year-old Prue McKee, who ventures into the forest after crows abduct her baby brother, accompanied by her schoolmate Curtis. Knight has described it as Laika's most ambitious project yet, built using 136 sets and 231 practical puppets alongside some visual effects. The starry voice cast includes Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Jacob Tremblay, Carey Mulligan, Angela Bassett, Mahershala Ali and Awkwafina, among many others. Wildwood is set to open in cinemas on 23 October 2026.
