A$AP Rocky Brings Trippy ‘Shroom Clouds’ to Streaming Services for the First Time: Listen
A$AP Rocky has released “Shroom Clouds” on streaming services for the first time, beginning the rollout for the forthcoming Don’t Be Dumb – Disc 2. The release brings a previously performed fan favourite to a wider audience and signals another stage in the Harlem rapper’s plans for the project.
The song, previously called “Mushroom Clouds”, was performed live in 2021 and 2022. A$AP Mob’s Hector Delgado produced the track, which features a catchy chorus; Rocky says Disc 2 will gather songs that did not fit albums associated with his alter egos. Don’t Be Dumb arrived in January, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 123,000 equivalent units, and was his first album since 2018. Rocky is due to tour Australia and New Zealand in December.

A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, is a rapper from Harlem, New York, and a member of the hip-hop collective A$AP Mob. His music has often included distinct alter egos and visual styles, which he uses to explore different sides of his work.
Don’t Be Dumb was his first album since 2018 and reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. Rocky has said a second disc will collect songs that did not fit albums linked to those alter egos; “Shroom Clouds” had already been performed live under the name “Mushroom Clouds”.
