The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures has unveiled its autumn programming, marking several film anniversaries alongside a season-long focus on horror. Highlights include a 50th anniversary screening of "Carrie" with Sissy Spacek, a 30th anniversary showing of "The Craft" with Rachel True and Robin Tunney, and a 20th anniversary screening of "Marie Antoinette" attended by director Sofia Coppola, who said she is "grateful" the film continues finding new audiences.

The season also features a John Carpenter retrospective presented by the director himself, a "Roberto Rossellini Prefers Real Life" series introduced by his daughter Isabella Rossellini, and horror-themed events including a "Monster Mash" day screening "Hotel Transylvania," "Blade" and "Horror of Dracula" to tie in with The Horror Show exhibit. In brief film news, Focus Features is offering free previews of "Finding Emily" to anyone named Emily ahead of its 28 August release, while Juan Gabriel's restored 1990 concert film "Bellas Artes" opens in US theatres on 15 September.
