The article compares gimbal cameras for people who find DJI’s Osmo Pocket 4 too expensive or cannot buy it in the United States, where the article says it is not officially available because of a ban on certain DJI products. It says the Pocket 3 remains a strong option, while Insta360’s Luna Pro is the closest rival; several cheaper alternatives from lesser-known brands are also assessed.

The Luna Pro has a 1-inch sensor, a 20mm f/1.8 lens, 8K video at 30 frames per second, subject tracking and stabilisation comparable to the Pocket 4. It lacks the Pocket 4’s 4K at 240 frames per second and has 47GB of internal storage versus 107GB, but can record vertical video at up to 4K 30 frames per second. The article also notes that the cameras are each rated for up to four hours of battery life, and that the Luna Pro’s I-Log mode may have shortcomings in dynamic range.
