The mod's development team revealed the decision through a Discord announcement, explaining that internal disputes and unfulfilled commitments from the project's leadership have exhausted team morale and commitment.

The announcement indicates that developers feel unable to continue contributing to a project they now perceive as fundamentally compromised by its troubled history and absent leadership. Several team members have already departed, and the remaining developers have expressed their intention to pursue independent projects unencumbered by the mod's reputational challenges and management issues.
