Amazon has launched a new Fire TV Stick 4K, redesigned remote and planned Alexa+ features for Fire TV. The company says the streaming stick loads apps and starts playing content faster, while the remote’s tactile buttons are easier to identify by touch.

The Fire TV Stick 4K costs $59.99 and begins shipping on 30 September in several countries, including the UK; Amazon’s performance claims are based on comparisons with unnamed rival devices and televisions. A standalone remote costs $14.99, while a more premium Remote Plus with backlit buttons and a remote-finding feature is due in early 2027. Alexa+ recommendations and more complex voice searches start rolling out to selected US devices in November, with the new stick and other countries to follow next year.
