Amy Taylor has one particular reason for loving Sleaford Mods: “Mad lyrics”
Amy Taylor has praised Sleaford Mods for their “mad lyrics”, saying Jason Williamson’s writing reflects what is happening around him. Her admiration helps explain the creative connection between the Australian punk band Amyl and the Sniffers and the Nottingham duo.
In a 2019 interview, Taylor singled out the line “I don’t own a bar, I can’t punch nothing, and sometimes I just wanna bang someone out” as especially relatable. She also recalled fist-smashing the air at her first Sleaford Mods gig, and later joined them on “Nudge It”, from their 2021 album *Spare Ribs*.
