Andrew Schulz has joined the cast of Universal's upcoming film "Miami Vice '85", alongside Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler. Directed by Joseph Kosinski with a screenplay by Dan Gilroy, the project is a new adaptation inspired by the original 1984-90 NBC series, exploring the glamour and corruption of mid-1980s Miami. The ensemble cast also includes Whitney Peak, Alden Ehrenreich, Camila Morrone, John Leguizamo and Danny Ramirez, with production beginning this year.

The film is scheduled for release on 19 May 2028 and will be shot for IMAX cinemas. Schulz's involvement comes following a particularly successful period for the actor and comedian, having recently completed his sold-out global arena tour and released a Netflix special. His recent acting credits include Netflix's "You People" alongside Eddie Murphy and Jonah Hill, Apple's sports film "Running", and roles in various upcoming projects including a live-action "Street Fighter" adaptation.
