    Antonio Banderas Joins Nicolas Cage for True Detective Season 5: Report

    Antonio Banderas has reportedly joined Nicolas Cage in the fifth season of HBO’s True Detective, which will be led by returning writer and director Issa López. The casting brings two established film actors to the crime anthology, though their characters’ relationship and roles in the investigation have not been revealed.

    Cage is set to play Henry Logan, while Banderas will play Rai Garcia; either or both may be detectives. The season is reportedly set around Jamaica Bay in New York, with production due to begin in 2027.
