Ride-sharing apps match passengers with drivers for journeys in private cars. In Mumbai, a vast city where many people travel for work and daily life, drivers may spend long hours carrying passengers whose lives are very different from their own.
Anurag Kashyap and Vasan Bala are Indian filmmakers presenting the short film, while Vijesh Rajan and Yashoda Parthasarthy directed it. Chandan Roy and Aamir Dalvi star, with Faisal Malik also in the cast. The film mixes horror and comedy to explore the pressures of driving and the unequal worlds brought together in a car.
Short films are briefer than feature-length films and are often shown at film festivals as well as online. Festival screenings and awards can help introduce a short to audiences beyond its original release.
