A police interview with Colt Gray, the teenage boy who killed four people at Apalachee High School in Georgia in September 2024, was played in court as he was sentenced after pleading guilty to murder. In the recording, Gray, then aged 14, is heard gasping for air and crying as he describes shooting a victim who "didn't even know" and "was looking the other way." The footage has drawn attention for its harrowing and disturbing content.

Gray, now 16, opened fire at the school near Winder, roughly 45 miles east of Atlanta, killing two students and two teachers. In the police interview he told officers "this is f***ing horrible" and said he had "probably affected thousands of people." He pleaded guilty to murder on the Friday before the sentencing hearing at which the interview footage was disclosed.
