Archie Comics and Oni Press have unveiled a new preview of Archie #1, the flagship title in an ambitious relaunch of the long-running Riverdale franchise. Written by Ben H. Winters (EC's Cruel Universe) with art by Fábio Moon (Daytripper), the reboot follows 17-year-old Archie Andrews through a "whirlwind, all-star adventure" spanning his town's past, present and future, kicking off with a local film festival that upends everything. IGN shared the exclusive sneak peek ahead of Comic-Con, as anticipation builds for the wider revamp of the classic characters.

The issue carries a main cover by Stuart Immonen alongside variants from Moon, Karl Kerschl, Khary Randolph, Travis Charest, Kano, Dan Parent, Elsa Charretier and Mahmud Asrar. Winters described writing Archie as "pure joy," praising the enduring warmth and loyalty among the characters. Archie #1 launches on 2 September, followed by Sabrina the Teenage Witch #1 in October and Archie in Hell #1 in November, with all three available to preorder at local comic shops.
