Ashley Blaine Featherson-Jenkins & Christina Elmore Launch Tomorrow/Today, Acquire ‘Black Girl, Jump’ For TV Development
Actor-producers Ashley Blaine Featherson-Jenkins and Christina Elmore have launched Tomorrow/Today, a production banner focused on stories and artists they feel have been overlooked. Its first major acquisition is the television rights to Charlene Thomas’s young adult horror novel *Black Girl, Jump*, marking an early development project for the company.
The surreal speculative story follows Bryn, the only Black girl invited to an exclusive summer retreat, where a cosmetic makes other girls shine but not Black girls. After discovering a river that makes her sparkle, she faces efforts by the girls and town to take that quality from her. Dutton is due to publish the novel on 8 June 2027.
