Suboo is an Australian fashion brand that operated for nearly 15 years, creating clothing and accessories sold internationally. The label became known for being worn by high-profile models including Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, and built a significant following through social media and online retail.
The brand has now entered liquidation following a members' vote on 1 October, meaning the company will be wound up and its assets sold to settle debts. Suboo blamed the decision on rising production costs, global economic pressures and fundamental changes in fashion retail, stating that continuing to operate was no longer financially viable.
The collapse leaves at least $655,000 in unpaid debts to suppliers including payment processors and shipping companies, along with $170,700 owed to two employees in unpaid entitlements. The company said customer orders had been completed before liquidation, though its website and social media accounts have since gone inactive.
