Avatar’s New Fighting Game Rolls Out First Post-Launch Update
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, which launched on Switch last week, has received its first post-launch patch, with the developers outlining a broader roadmap for upcoming updates. The move signals ongoing support for the title following its debut, addressing early feedback about missing features and giving players a clearer sense of what's coming next.
The initial patch adds new content, quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes, including a Samurai Appa support-character skin, with a Switch-specific version of the patch and further content still to come. Future updates are planned to introduce Ranked Mode, Lobbies, Spectator Mode, a Beginner's Zone, additional Casual Modes, new tutorials and combo trials, alongside upgraded sprites and animations for Ozai, Avatar Aang and Nightmare Korra. Tagah, from Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, will also join the roster later this year as a free playable character. A review of the PS5 version by Push Square praised the combat system but noted the absence of features such as ranked online play at launch.
