‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Tickets Put On Sale For All Theaters Nationwide
Disney has put tickets for Avengers: Doomsday on sale across all US cinemas three months before release, expanding from last month’s premium-format presales. The move signals strong confidence in the Marvel blockbuster, which will reunite major characters against Doctor Doom and compete directly with Dune Part Three when it opens on 18 December.
The listed running time is 165 minutes, or two hours and 45 minutes, though it may still change slightly before the final cut. Robert Downey Jr. plays Doctor Doom, alongside returning and new Marvel actors including Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Pedro Pascal and Florence Pugh; Anthony and Joe Russo direct. Disney will also re-release Avengers: Endgame on 25 September, after its $2.8 billion worldwide box-office run.
In short
- Avengers: Doomsday tickets are now on sale nationwide.
- The film currently has a 165-minute running time.
- Disney will re-release Avengers: Endgame in September.
Explained simply
The Avengers films bring together characters from across Marvel’s superhero stories, including Iron Man, Captain America and Thor. Earlier films established the team’s conflicts and alliances, while Avengers: Endgame concluded a major storyline and became one of the world’s highest-grossing films.
Doctor Doom is a long-standing Marvel villain, usually portrayed as a ruler and inventor. Robert Downey Jr., who previously played Iron Man in the films, is among the actors returning or joining the cast; Anthony and Joe Russo, who directed earlier Avengers films, are directing this one.
The film is part of Disney’s Marvel franchise and is due to open in the United States on 18 December, the same date as Dune Part Three. Its release continues a series that draws on familiar characters and stories from many Marvel films.
