BAFTA Breakthrough: ‘Ish’ Filmmaker Imran Perretta & ‘The Other Bennet Sister’ Star Ella Bruccoleri Among 2026 Cohort

BAFTA has selected 21 creatives for its 2026 Breakthrough cohort, including filmmaker Imran Perretta, known for *Ish*, and performer Ella Bruccoleri, who appears in *The Other Bennet Sister*. The year-long programme offers career guidance and industry access to people approaching or experiencing a breakthrough in their creative careers.

Now in its 13th year, the scheme selects participants through an open application process. Cohort members receive one-to-one meetings, full BAFTA voting membership, access to events and screenings, and networking opportunities in the UK and internationally; the article lists participants across film, television and games.
