BAFTA Unveils 2026 Breakthrough U.K. Cohort, Including ‘The Other Bennet Sister’ Star Ella Bruccoleri

BAFTA has selected 21 emerging creatives for its 2026 Breakthrough U.K. cohort, spanning film, television and games. The programme offers year-round career support, mentorship, networking and BAFTA membership, with Netflix backing it for a seventh consecutive year.

Actors Ella Bruccoleri, Izuka Hoyle and Sophie Stone are among those chosen, alongside filmmakers, television writers and producers, and five games creatives. Now in its 13th year, Breakthrough has supported more than 330 creatives globally; alumni have received over 200 BAFTA nominations and more than 80 wins. BAFTA North America is expected to announce its U.S. cohort later in November.
