BAFTA Student Award Winners Include Young Filmmakers From Spain, France, China and America

BAFTA has announced the winners of its 22nd annual Student Awards, honouring emerging filmmakers from universities around the world across film, games and immersive storytelling. The winners were revealed at a ceremony in Los Angeles, hosted by Elle Osili-Wood, with presenters including Asif Ali, Wil Wheaton and Gina Kim, underlining the awards' role in spotlighting fresh creative talent early in their careers.

This year's honourees were selected from more than 600 submissions by a jury including Joel Kim Booster, Laura Karpman and Smriti Mundhra. The Albert R. "Cubby" Broccoli Special Jury Prize went to "Rage" from Spain's ESCAC, while other category winners included "Gauze" (Gobelins, France) for Animation, "Strangers on Our Land" (UC Berkeley) for Documentary, "Whispers of the Waves" (Beijing Film Academy) for Live Action, and "Candellum" (Isart Digital, France) for Games.
