Anti-migrant activists led by Daniel Thomas, known as "Danny Tommo", staged a protest outside the Daily Mail's offices in Kensington, west London, after the newspaper reported on his background following weekend demonstrations in Dover and Portsmouth. Thomas accused the Mail of "doxxing" his mother's address, though the disputed article had only named his company and the city she lives in. The protest highlights the growing profile of Thomas's Patriot Platform movement and the tension between his working-class rhetoric and reported middle-class upbringing.

Dozens of masked protesters in black uniforms gathered outside the Mail's entrance, monitored by Metropolitan Police officers, while Thomas addressed the crowd to claps and cheers. Over the weekend his followers blockaded the Port of Dover, causing gridlock and missed ferry crossings, and later gathered in Portsmouth attempting to stop lifeboats bringing 140 migrants ashore, during which several police officers were injured. Thomas, 37, is a former King's Royal Hussars tank driver discharged on medical grounds, an ex-bodyguard to Tommy Robinson, and was jailed for two years in 2016 for breaking into a man's home in Hayling Island; he attended private school and his father was university-educated.
