Banijay Entertainment H1 Revenues Dip in First Earnings Update Since Completion of All3Media Deal

Variety ·

Banijay Entertainment has reported its first financial results since completing its merger with All3Media, showing a slight dip in first-half revenues. The figures, covering January to June 2026, do not yet include All3Media's performance, which will only be folded in from the second half of the year onwards, meaning the full effect of the deal has yet to show up in the accounts.

Half-year revenue reached €1.37 billion ($1.56 billion), down 2.2% on the same period in 2025, with production revenue falling 11.9% due to what the company called "anticipated phasing in production." Distribution revenue rose 10.5%, helped by an unspecified format sale, while live events revenue jumped almost 50% on the back of the Winter Olympics and FIFA World Cup. The merger with RedBird IMI's All3Media, completed earlier this month, created an $8 billion group spanning 25 territories with over 265,000 hours of content, including titles such as "The Traitors," "Big Brother" and "Peaky Blinders"; chief executive François Riahi said 2026 was a "transformational year" and that integration synergies would begin in the second half.

In short

  • Banijay's H1 2026 revenue fell 2.2% to €1.37bn, pre-All3Media merger
  • Production revenue down 11.9%; distribution up 10.5%; live events up ~50%
  • Merger with All3Media created $8bn group; synergies expected from H2

Explained simply

Banijay Entertainment is one of the world's largest producers and distributors of television and film content, creating programmes for broadcasters and streaming services across the globe. The company has just completed the acquisition of All3Media, another major production business, to create a combined entity valued at approximately $8 billion.

The company's first earnings results following the merger cover the first six months of 2026 and show overall revenue fell to €1.37 billion. However, these figures do not yet include All3Media's financial contribution, which will be incorporated into accounts only from the second half of the year onwards.

Within the overall results, different parts of the business performed unequally, with production declining but distribution and live events revenue rising. The merged group now operates across 25 countries with extensive content libraries, including popular formats such as The Traitors, Big Brother and Peaky Blinders, establishing it as one of the world's largest entertainment production companies.
