Baseus’ new security camera has a spotlight that tracks and follows moving targets
Baseus has announced the PrimeSentinel U2 Pro, an outdoor security camera designed to deter unwanted visitors as well as record them. Its motorised spotlight follows moving targets, making them aware they have been detected and helping capture clearer night-time video.
The camera combines a fixed 3K camera with a second 3K camera that can pan, tilt and zoom through 360 degrees, alongside full-colour night vision and AI alerts that distinguish people, pets, vehicles and deliveries. Footage is recorded only when motion is detected and stored on an encrypted 512GB memory card. It is available in the US for $269.99, with European availability from 15 October at €269.99; Baseus says its battery lasts up to 150 days, and 40 minutes of sunlight can power a full day’s use.

Outdoor security cameras record activity around homes and may use lights or alerts to discourage intruders. Some cameras stay pointed in one direction, while others can move to follow activity across a wider area.
Baseus is a consumer electronics company that makes products including chargers and smart-home devices. Its camera pairs a fixed lens with a motorised one, and uses motion alerts and on-device storage to record activity without relying on continuous filming.
These features matter to people weighing how much of their property a camera can cover, how it works at night and where recordings are kept. Battery life and solar charging can also affect how often the camera needs attention.
