Bathing Suits Raise The Temperature With ‘Do Ya?’

Leeds group Bathing Suits have released ‘Do Ya?’, an industrial pop single that combines electronics, noise and dance rhythms. The track adds to a breakout year for the band, whose debut EP drew attention and whose singer, Freyja Blevins, walked for Vivienne Westwood at Paris Fashion Week.

Blevins says she wrote the song after a fashion shoot with Hedi Slimane introduced her to a world she wanted to enter. She describes its theme as wanting more, whether that means romance, sex or money, and says the band are learning to shape their chaotic sound so it does not overwhelm them or the dance floor. They are due to play London’s Sebright Arms on 12 November as part of The Great Escape’s First Fifty.
