Variety · 4 hours ago

Fremantle has struck a multi-territory licensing deal with Prime Video to bring the rebooted "Baywatch" series, along with the original show's complete back catalogue, to Canada, Latin America, India and a swathe of European markets. The agreement extends the reach of the revival beyond its US and UK homes, where it debuts on Fox in January 2027 and on Sky respectively, marking one of the more high-profile international rollouts for a returning classic drama.

The new 12-episode season, produced by Fremantle and Fox Entertainment, will launch on Prime Video in Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, the Benelux countries, Switzerland, Austria and Turkey, as well as Canada, Latin America and India, in 2027, alongside all past seasons including spin-off "Baywatch Hawaii". The reboot stars Stephen Amell, Jessica Belkin, Shay Mitchell, Thaddeus LaGrone, Noah Beck and Brooks Nader, with David Chokachi and Livvy Dunne also featuring, while original cast members Erika Eleniak, Michael Bergin and Kelly Packard return as guest stars. Fox Entertainment Global retains domestic distribution rights, with Fremantle handling international sales.
