Amazon-owned Bee launches two AI note-taking devices after acquisition
Amazon-owned Bee has unveiled two AI note-taking devices, the Frontier and Eclipse, its first new products since the acquisition just over a year ago. Both record conversations and use AI to produce transcripts and summaries, while adding a new Pro subscription and software updates.
The Frontier is a smaller, lighter successor to the Pioneer, with IP67 dust and water resistance, several colour options and an estimated seven-day battery life. It is on sale for $75; the Eclipse is a magnetic phone-mounted device with three microphones and a claimed battery life of more than 21 days. Recording can also raise privacy and consent questions, particularly when other people are involved, making it relevant to understand how a device handles audio and informs participants.
