Bess Atwell Introduces New Album ‘Cut A Figure’

Bess Atwell has announced her new album, ‘Cut A Figure’, shaped in part by her move to Canada. The UK artist says performing songs alone, without instruments, helped her feel more free and showed her how strongly those moments connected with audiences.

Produced by Chris Coady at his California studio, the album is due in February through Nettwerk, with an international tour including a show at London’s Barbican. Lead single ‘Glass’ is described as the record’s centrepiece; Atwell says its image of a transparent box reflects how trying hard to be seen and understood can sometimes make a person feel invisible.
