Bitcoin Firm Strive Climbs Up the Treasury Ranks With Another Big Buy
Developed over time first seen 1 day ago
Strive bought 124 bitcoin between 24 and 30 October for about $10 million, paying an average of $80,526 per coin including fees. Its holdings reached 43,124 bitcoin, according to a filing disclosed on 2 November. That puts the US-listed company fourth among public corporate bitcoin holders, 390 coins behind Twenty One Capital and 876 behind Metaplanet, based on the rankings cited in the report. Strategy remains far ahead of the group.
Strive said it funded most of the purchase from existing cash and used its SATS preferred share sales programme for the first time. Its cash and cash equivalents stood at $490.4 million on 30 October, down from $504.4 million a week earlier. The latest purchase was much smaller than its acquisition of 6,182 bitcoin the previous week. Although it brings Strive closer to the companies immediately above it, future rankings will depend on their purchases as well as Strive’s.
