Blonde Redhead have released ‘Blood Spilled’, a new song described as a direct and urgent departure into a fresh creative phase after their 2023 album ‘Sit Down For Dinner’ and 2025 companion release. The track addresses trauma, pain and spiritual endurance, drawing on the band’s experience of reconvening after a horse-riding accident.

The song is released through section1 and is accompanied by a hospital-ward photograph featuring Kazu Makino and twins Simone and Amedeo Pace. Makino said the song reflects on loss, death, the relationship between body and soul, and the importance of experiencing pain and joy while alive.
