Box Office: ‘Heated Rivalry’ Fans Drive Show’s Theatrical Release to $1.4 Million

Fans of the streaming romance “Heated Rivalry” have helped its limited theatrical re-release earn $1.4 million, showing that popular television can draw audiences to cinemas even when episodes are already available at home. The screenings also offer cinemas a way to bring fans together and keep a series in the public eye between seasons.

The run is scheduled for 6 to 30 November across 945 theatres, with viewers choosing among three paired episode screenings at $9.99 a ticket, below the reported $12.87 average price for a standard film screening. The show, based on Rachel Reid’s books, averaged more than 10 million viewers per episode after gaining momentum in early 2026; its second season is due in 2027.
