Boy George has criticised music platform Bandcamp as a "bunch of c***s" after it removed his profile, taking down his controversial track "We Will Dance Again" alongside it. The song, released last month, proved divisive for appearing to reject descriptions of Israel's Gaza campaign as genocide and for criticising musicians who back Palestine, and its removal marks the latest fallout for the Culture Club singer, who has already withdrawn from a London Palladium production and split from his record label manager over the track.

Boy George said he was inspired to write the song after visiting the Nova Music Festival Exhibition in London and meeting relatives of a victim of the October 2023 Hamas-led attack. In an Instagram video, he said Bandcamp had taken payment for the track and called on fans who already own a copy to share it online, while urging the platform to issue refunds. It remains unclear whether the removal was driven by the song's political content or by Bandcamp's policy against AI-generated music, since the singer has confirmed he used AI to help write the track; NME has approached Bandcamp for comment. He has since insisted the song is "pro-peace" and rejected accusations of being a "genocide denier".
