The Hundred is a cricket competition in England featuring eight regional teams. It runs during the summer, with the top-performing teams progressing to playoff matches to determine the champion.

Southern Brave and Birmingham Phoenix are two of the eight teams in the competition. Each team plays multiple matches throughout the season, with their league standing determining whether they reach the playoffs.

Early performances are critical in the Hundred because teams that start slowly can fall too far behind to recover. The competition moves at pace through its matches, so early wins are important for building momentum and keeping playoff hopes alive.
