A Wisconsin brewery previously criticised for promotions tied to the deaths of Donald Trump and Senate figure Mitch McConnell has released a new beer called "Antifa Octoberfist". Minocqua Brewing Co, which is known for provocative left-leaning marketing, unveiled the product following a primary election, continuing a pattern of politically charged branding that has drawn attention from conservative media outlets.

The brewery had earlier promised free beer to customers if Donald Trump died and more recently pledged a "half-price beer day" tied to McConnell's eventual death, promotions that generated controversy and criticism. The "Antifa Octoberfist" release, a play on the traditional Oktoberfest beer style, is being framed by critics as the latest instalment in the brewery's deliberately provocative approach to political marketing ahead of the autumn brewing season.
