A British holidaymaker has been arrested in Majorca after allegedly trying to kiss a male air steward on the neck during a Ryanair flight from London Stansted to Spain. The case highlights the recurring problem of intoxicated passengers assaulting cabin crew on flights to popular holiday destinations.

The 30-year-old, who has not been named, is said to have been heavily intoxicated when he allegedly began causing trouble and flirting with the crew member. The pilot radioed Palma Airport before landing to request police, but the steward initially declined to make a formal complaint, allowing the man to clear passport control. After the steward changed his mind, the passenger was arrested yesterday as he tried to board his return flight over the June 29 incident, and was later released on bail pending investigation.
