Britpop band Elastica have hinted at a possible return after 25 years apart, telling fans to “keep your eyes peeled” in a social-media post. The brief message has prompted speculation that the group could be preparing new activity, although no reunion, release or performance has been formally confirmed.

Elastica formed in London in 1992 and became one of the defining bands of the Britpop era with their 1995 self-titled debut album, which included the hit ‘Connection’. The band released a second album, *The Menace*, in 2000 before splitting up in 2001; its members have since pursued other projects.
