Bronny James, Cameron Carr to get lots of playing time for Lakers – but there’s a twist
Bronny James and Cameron Carr have been assigned to the Coachella Valley Lakers, Los Angeles’s G League affiliate, for its season opener against the Salt Lake City Stars. The move should give both players more court time, though outside the NBA team’s rotation.
Carr, the Lakers’ 24th pick in June’s draft, had played only four minutes since debuting on Sunday after missing the first six games with a strained right oblique. James, LeBron James’s son, had logged 12 minutes across five games after a difficult pre-season. The G League game is on Friday at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert.
